Glover
Sacked
Lee Glover has been axed by Grantham Town following a
poor start to the season. The ex-forest midfielder who
played under Nigel Clough and with Roy Keane, was appointed
in October 2004 after Dave Norton's resignation during the
4-2 Fa Cup defeat by Shepshed on 18th September 2004. Lee's
only win of the season was a 3-1 win over Leek Town at home.
After the opening game, there were no murmurs of wanting him
out after a great result with Telford. 4 straight defeats
followed but Glover assured himself of another fortnight
with the win over Leek. A defeat followed and on Tuesday
12th September, Glover axed fans favourite Adrian Speed.
That evening they crashed 2-1 to Ilkeston and the final nail
in the coffin was when Glover's side let a 2-0 lead crash in
an Fa Cup game to Oadby where there were humbled 4-2 by a
side 2 tiers lower.
